1. What is the source of the QuickHIT data ?
Health InfoTechnics uses a variety of databases to prepare the reports. All reports have a notation in the bottom left corner to indicate the source of the data. Most reports are generated by using ESRI Demographic information, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) or other state agencies.
2. Where can I find a sample of the reports before I purchase ?
Select a facility from the Browse Option. Once you have identified and selected the facility a list of available reports will be presented. Select View Sample.
3. What if I need information or reports not currently on the site ?
Just ask…There are two places on the QuickHIT site you can request specific information. Use can either use the Contact Page on the QuickHIT website; or Request Custom Report in your account information.
4. How often are the data updated ?
Typically the reports are updated on an annual basis, as soon as CMS or the state agency has released the data. Currently, Health InfoTechnics is providing the most recent available, 2005 CMS information and 2006 demographic information.
5. How do you determine the ZIP codes or geography on the reports ?
HIT uses a 75% patient origin from the CMS Service Area file to compute the geographic boundary or the facility service area.
6. What if I want to determine my own service area or geographic boundary ?
Just ask… Health InfoTechnics can customize your report for you.
7. Where do I find the list of ZIP Codes or the geography used on the reports ?
Each report contains either the list of ZIP codes embedded in the report or a Cover Sheet with a list of ZIP codes attached to the report.
8. How do you determine who is a competitor ?
Competitors are identified by using a 75% patient origin from the CMS Service Area file. HIT computes the market share based upon the volume of the market and the volume of each of the top three competitors from the list of ZIP codes generated.
9. Can I have a company-wide subscription ?
Yes! We have made it easy for anyone to subscribe. Just call or e-mail us, and we’ll get you set up.
10. For which types of facilities can you get reports ?
Currently, HIT provider data for hospitals. We will continue to expand our product offerings throughout 2007.
